Defense came up big in overtime but they blew the chance to come up big at the end of regulation. But as we all know the defense is not the problem with this team right now.

Bottom line is we got the W but it was a lot more difficult than any of us hoped it would be. Can't have performances like the one the offense had in the first half once we get into conference play. Really hoping at some point that we will see the progress we are all hoping for on that side of the ball but through two games there has been no question what part of the team has been the weakest link.

Really ugly, but a W. Credit where credit is due: Mitch's TD pass near the end of regulation was a beauty. He was maybe .500 overall, but that wasa game-changer.
