Mike Ellis, Associate AD for basketball, takes voluntary leave during investigation

Believe me, I am on the side of the good (so much so that my support for the women harassed by Teague actually got me called a d-bag by poster Les Bolstad*), but the timing of the complaint is very suspect. If the guy was phased out because of his "respect" for women the complaint would have been in 2012 or he would have got a good pay-out. This reeks of opportunism. *I later learned this was not as exceptional event as I thought as LB called me a d-bag another time and used it on other posters as well. He deals out the d-bags pretty liberally.

The incident happened in 2012 and the complaint came in 2013. 5 more recent complaints have came in, but how does that excuse the behavior from 2012?

The complaint was reviewed and rejected in 2013, it got anonymously resent on August 10, 2015.

Where did you read it was rejected?

"Evan Lapiska, a spokesman for the U, confirmed Thursday that this complaint relates to the same information in the January 2013 complaint against Ellis, which was resolved without any disciplinary actions."

Someone was fired because they were uncomfortable with porn being looked at in a work setting.

It became a big deal when they alienated and eventually fired the person that was uncomfortable with the pics and made the complaint. That's absolutely a major issue.

Sure, especially for the prez and the already gone AD... we don't know Mike's roll in that.

According to the article it was filed in January 2013 and closed without any further disciplinary action. You may be right but it may be more like someone who was uncomfortable looking at porn was fired because they weren't all that good at their job. I have a hard believing that this only comes out now if there was actual proof that someone was fired for not being into porn.

Can there also be an issue as to what is porn? Thinking Mankato St here.

An attractive young lady in short shorts is considered porn to some people.

With the Markingson cover-up, Teague, and now Ellis, when does Kaler really start to feel the heat?

He shouldn't. Technically teague ddnt break any laws he will not spend a day in jail him and Ellis are just dirty dogs. That's hardly grounds to dismiss the president of a university

Go Gophers!!

Really? Really? It's interesting that UNC and its massive UNC academic scandal are not as much much of a bleep show as it gets in college athletics.

Mega Tongue and Mega Porn were quite the duo we hired away from VCU.

I wouldn't lump the two together from the information we have; "Hey look at this piece of 'A' (porn) my buddy sent me", if that is the case, big F'n deal. Until I hear it's more that that I'm putting him anywhere near Mega Predator's level.

If he's too stupid to keep that stuff to himself or at least in very close company, fire him for incompetence. He's not flipping burgers. He's supposed to be a professional and interacts with minors.

Does anybody know if Mike Ellis is related to the American fashion designer Perry Ellis? I only ask, because fashion is often mistaken for porn.

Does anyone actually show risque photos on their phone during business meetings? Can anyone be that stupid?

Yes, I believe there are way more people than you think that would be that "stupid" because they think it's okay and they believe everyone with a problem is a killjoy prude.

I think it's stupid too, but have you hung around any AD's or coaches? They are not CEO's... and they aren't perfect either, who do you think supports the escorts?

They alienated and eventually fired the whistle blower... It went way beyond the initial issue.

They alienated and eventually fired the whistle blower....

The person who was 'allegedly' alienated was fired by who? MoreWood? I don't know Ellis's involvement in that, maybe he was instrumental? We don't know, do we?

I'm not trying to defend the guy, I'm just not sure his incident is worthy of getting canned. It seems more like piling on from the more serious sexual harassment from Norwood. Either way, I don't see him as being retained as part of the future AD's staff.
