The headline in the Twin Cities newspapers on Friday morning will read?...

Gophers throttle Frogs:
At midnight, see replay on BTN of big 1955 OSU victory over winless Indiana.

Twins blow 4-1 lead and lose to the White Sox

Official Friday STrib print edition headlines:

Sports Section: Dropped Chances

Go Gophers!!

Got in car on way to work today, listened to the 1500AM 8:00 sports update. It went like this (in this order):
-Twins lose to White Sox, start 9 game road trip
-Vikings lose final preseason game. Now begin the cuts & must get roster down to 53 by Saturday.
-More controversy with the University of Minnesota as Mike Ellis resigns amid reports of misconduct. He was hired by Norwood Teague.
-"Speaking of the U of M, the Gophers drop their opener last night to TCU, 23-17."

The last line was pretty much word for word. I don't get too worked up about this stuff, but the bottom line is the Gophers-TCU game was the biggest sports story on Thursday & it was not treated that way.
