A push to rename the city's Wakota Arena after the 72-year-old former South St. Paul Packers and Minnesota Gophers hockey star is gaining momentum.
The city's parks and recreation advisory commission this week recommended the name change to the city council, which previously discussed the idea after receiving an online petition with 1,194 signatures of support.
