BTN: 50 questions to ponder in advance of 2015 Big Ten media days

12. Yes
24. Does really need to take flight? No, just be effective
30. Minnesota needs a back or two to gain between 800-1200 yards each. It could be done.
48. They could, maintain dominance over Nebraska, Iowa and beat Wisconsin.

12. Any playmakers at wideout for Minnesota?
24. Is the Gopher passing game finally going to take flight?
30. Will Minnesota be able to replace running back David Cobb?
48. Can Minnesota win the West?

12. KJ Maye, Jeff Jones, and Wolitarsky are a solid group IMO. Wolitarsky is undersold and has been hurt a lot. I expect Gentry to get a lot of run. Gant and Holland by some reports have "freshmen hands" but all the athleticism in the world. Until it is proven they can catch in game situations jury is out. Duke, Noah Scarver, Gibson, all wild cards at TE.
24. If Leidner can take that next step, the line takes a step, and the coaches help him out with some more underneath stuff, we could see a completion rate around 60%. If attempts remained at 237 and his YPA stays around 7 the additional 20 completions, just 1-2 more per game, will push him very close to 2000 yards on the season.
30. We need the RB corps to average around 4.50 to 5.0 YPC or it' going to be a subpar season because the passing game may not be dynamic just yet. With a talented and healthy line and some talented backs there is reason to be optimistic despite losing a great talent in David Cobb.
Team Rush attempts, YPC/ Pass attempts, YPA
2014 599 4.68 254 7.3
2013 586 4.33. 267. 7.3
2012 517 3.82. 330. 6.7
2011 470 4.09. 274 6.6
2010. 447 3.63. 378 7.2
2009 430 3.01. 385 7.0
2008. 436 3.10. 258. 6.9

48. Of course! Nebraska, Wisconsin, Iowa all have question marks. Why not us?
