Croft is a somewhat raw, 6-foot-5 dual-threat from Rockford, Ill., and was one of the top overall sleeper prospects in the Midwest in the 2015 cycle. Let’s be clear he will need to develop, but there is big opportunity down the road because of his skill set and the Golden Gophers’ offensive scheme. He’s like others on this list that isn’t ready to step in as a true freshman and shine (very few quarterbacks are), but his physical tools give him the upside to be excellent down the road.
