Easily the highest projection I have seen for Damien. Same site that has Cedric and Cobb as third rounders and Maxx as a 1-2 round guy.

Information: Was a 0 star recruit out of high school, and started his career at Alcorn State, before going to Jones County Community College, and then moving to Minnesota before the 2013 season. Started 24 of a possible 26 games over his two years. Career (2014) Stats: 197 (119) Tackles, 16 (10.5) TFLs, 5 (4) Sacks, 3 (3) defended passes, 1 (1) interception. Measurables: 4.77s 40 yard dash, 1.65s 10 yard split, 22 bench press reps, 37” vertical jump, 119” broad jump, 7.21s 3 Cone, 4.20s short shuttle, 11.68s 60 yard shuttle.
Positives: Great build, with long arms (33.8”) and a big wingspan (81.9”). Ex-defensive lineman who can take on blocks with a strong punch, and control blockers when he wants to. Experienced as a pass rusher also, playing aggressively and using leverage to get underneath blockers and collapse the pocket. Plays with a chip on his shoulder, probably as a result of how he was forgotten coming out of HS. Has some nice pop behind his tackles, hitting through the target with power, engulfing ballcarriers with his massive wingspan, and driving his legs through contact. Athletic for his size, with good short-area quickness to patrol and react in the middle.
Negatives: Overaggressive as a defender, which can make him commit too early to plays and run himself away from it. It’s not a lack of instincts, but that he trusts his first instinct, when he should remain patient and let the play develop slightly longer. Takes too long to change direction, showing stiff hips, and struggling to turn and run with receivers. This could limit him as a middle linebacker in a 4-3, if that’s where he’s drafted to play. It also means that when he does take false steps, he takes too long to get back into position.
Summary: Wilson joins Cedric Thompson in my ‘Minnesota defenders who are vastly underrated list’. Potential starter at 3-4 ILB or SAM in a 4-3, due to his ability to take on blocks.

Gap integrety is perhaps his biggest weakness. LBs who get caught out of position tend to have short careers at the pro level. Hopefully he can learn to be disciplined and hang around a few years.

Especially with the JT Barrett TD. Over pursued on the fake and was out of position when Barrett decided to keep it. Thats the only specific negative play I can think of for Damien though.
