I would live the opportunity to boo Reid Travis.
SDSU would make it 3 Summit League opponents on the schedule. Would be unusual to have 3 from one conference, but maybe Pitino has decided to give this schedule a regional flavor, based on what we know so far.
I don't mind playing 3 or so games against the summit league. It's better than playing against SMSU. Also I doubt we'll end up playing against Stanford given we have 3 against against decent competition already (Clemson, Temple and Oklahoma state) with the possibility of 2 more in the tournament. It'd be nice to have a home and home with a mid tier program from a conference a step below the BCS but I doubt it'll happen.
Yes, the Stanford thing is just me wishing for something that won't happen. I will be disappointed if there's not a true road game. With this young of a team, I think it'd be bad practice to send them into the Big Ten season without having played a true road game.
Michigan State releases non conference schedule. http://grfx.cstv.com/photos/schools.../2015-16/misc_non_event/201516mbbschedule.pdf
The two missing games are Nov. 20th- Home vs. Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Nov. 23- Home vs. Eastern Michigan. Interesting that EMU is the non-bracketed game for the Wooden Legacy as all other particpants besides MSU and Evansville are playing someone else in the field.
