Thanks Ole. Please along any Badger schedule tidbits as you get 'em.

Any feel for what Dekker is going to do? From what I saw in Omaha he looks ready for the next level, but I won't be surprised if he stays. He & Hayes could be quite a pair of college forwards next season, though, that's already the case this season.

There was a rumor of an Oklahoma/UW series coming up, but I have not seen anything official on that.

I think it's likely that Dekker leaves. His success at all the camps last summer put him in a position to be picked in the back half of the first round, and he's had a solid season to back it up. I will be surprised if Sam is back next season, though I could see a scenario where he sees how much that final year did for Kaminsky (basketball-wise and being loved in Madison). I think Nigel may put his name in to get an evaluation, but I expect him back next season. Would love to have Sam for another season, but Nigel and Bronson Koenig should be really good building blocks for next year's team.

A while back a KC sports writer said that UMKC would be coming here this year.

If so, that would be a cupcake compared to bringing in NDSU. I know you don't like NDSU, so this could be of interest to you, my friend.

I wonder why we don't play NDSU or SDSU more often.

Wooops looks like SS included UMKC on his rumored opponents. I didn't pay close attention to his post I guess.

Questions

"My current 2016 B1G Tournament seed projection is listed in parentheses. Obviously, there will be some fluctuation as early NBA departures, transfers, etc., are announced in the coming weeks. Most notably the decisions of James Blackmon, Sam Dekker, Yogi Ferrell, A.J. Hammons, Caris LeVert, Terran Petteway, DeAngelo Russell, and Melo Trimble would have an impact on their teams."

I could be wrong but aren't most of these guys thought to be leaving?
I don't see Michigan at #4...at the moment I'm not aware of any recruits? If Lavert leaves and Walton returns that seems like a middle of the league team to me?
Ohio St has the top recruiting class in the Big Ten...5 new guys. I don't see them at 9....I see them higher. I am assuming they lose Russell but they still have Loving and Tate plus the 5 highly rated recruits.
I think Iowa could be lower. They lose 2 of their top 3 scorers and their 5 incoming recruits are dark horses.
I think Minnesota is where they belong but depending what happens with the 3 other scholarships, I think it is possible we could get to the middle. For sure we could finish last as well if our recruits are ordinary.

When will we find out what the matchups will be for the Gavitt Tipoff games between the Big Ten and Big East?

Interesting to speculate about who declares early and who stays.

Russell is a no-brainer, Dekker is likely, and I can't see any reason why Petteway would return. I'm not seeing Blackmon on either of two prominent draft boards so I'm guessing he stays. Trimble is on one as a lower first rounder. I'm seeing Farrell and Hammons as mid-to-low second rounders so they might stay for their last years. Levert is an interesting case. He's listed as a mid-first rounder now but you do wonder if his injury could cause his stock to fall.

If Levert returns, I think Michigan will be pretty good. In the absence of Levert and Walton they managed some pretty good developmental time for their young players.

I agree that Iowa should be a little weaker next year and Minnesota's ranking is about right. Hope they finish two or three steps higher.

Maryland

Seeing buzz that Maryland is a top 10 team nationally and Big Ten favorite going into next year. #7 is too low imo

Yep, sure I'll be way off on some of these. What's cool is the B1G should be stronger next year, especially if the likes of Ferrell, Williams, Trimble, LeVert, Hammons, and Dekker return. Dekker probably gone, but I could see all the other guys coming back.

Trimble has already announced he's coming back. The Diamond Stone commitment came shortly thereafter.

I see a golden scheduling opportunity for Gophers

Both Pitino and Teague have been talking about the importance of snagging a home-and-home with a major program. With Shaka now at Texas, how about Teague hitting up his former coach for a series with the Gophers?

Iowa at Iowa State will be on Dec. 11 per a Jon Rothstein tweet.
