He'd want to play in Ames because it is close to The Cave in North DesMoines/Ankenny. A dive so rough that they check you for guns at the door. If ya don't have one, they give you one.
 

It's getting so ugly on Iowa State's message board that their Mods are threatening 3 day bans. In the few minutes I was on the site a number of threads were already deleted...some really strong words ripping players worse than I've ever seen on here.

Bracket Busting Upsets

So I had Iowa State in the final four on several brackets and into the Sweet 16 on all brackets. Thought they had a reasonably decent path with their draw.

Time to impeach the mayor.
 


Seriously, the boosterism for Hoiberg and the Cyclones around here has to stop.

There seems to be more "cheering" from local reporters for Tim Miles and Fred Hoiberg than there is for Pitino. Now, media shouldn't be cheering for anyone, but that should then be consistent across the board.

The Big 12 is not having a good past couple of hours. And if Butler beats Texas it will be an historic Dark Thursday for that conference.

F'in A - these are not a couple good days to be trying to respond to reviewer comments to my research paper and incorporate them as appropriate! Who determined the MF deadline to be March 20th?!?

That's exactly the issue. They tell us over and over how they don't have to be cheerleaders for the local teams. 2 things:

1. That doesn't mean you have to rip them and belittle them constantly either.

2. This crap with Miles and Hoiberg is hypocritical and looks even worse.

God, PA sucks.
 

The Big 12 might be the same regular season flash in the pan that the SEC was in football.

Pitino must shake his head at this kind of crap. I take him at his word that he's impressed with the amount of passion around the state for the Gophers, but he must bum out about the media coverage they get.
 

I'd love to be at Buster's in Richmond today watching the VCU/OSU game and arguing about the merits of infamous super fan "Pav" with Richmondinsider.
 

Pretty crazy end to UCLA-SMU. Bruins win on a goaltending call that might've been a little on the edge.

Guys on the radio said it was a bad call. That was a very "Gopher" way to lose a game, go on a 19-0 run, lose on a goaltend on an airball 3.
