The last-place coach in arguably the best division in football, the SEC West, will make at least $4 million next season. Let that sink in for a moment now that Mississippi State has granted a raise and extension to Dan Mullen.
Within eight years, college football has gone from no $4 million-a-year coaches to a clean seven-for-seven sweep in the game's most competitive division.
The money keeps pouring in, and we barely blink anymore. This isn't a criticism of Mullen. To each his own.
