All Things 2015 Gophers Softball Thread

#3 seeded Michigan throttles #14 seeded Georgia 10-3 in the Super Regional last night. 4-0 lead after 1 inning. Betsa with 10 strikeouts. Wolverines win streak at 24 straight. They haven't lost since being defeated by the Gophers back on April 3rd. 15 of the 24 wins were shortened by the run rule.

Michigan advances to the World Series with a 7-6 win over Georgia.
 

Seeds 1 through 8 advance to the World Series, no upsets.

#2 Oregon vs #7 UCLA
#3 Michigan vs #6 Alabama
#4 Auburn vs #5 LSU

5-SEC, 2-PAC 12 and Michigan.
2 of Michigan's losses were at the hands of Florida. The first was in Tampa and the second in Fullerton. 2 of the Wolverine's wins were against the Tide in Tuscaloosa.
 

All the opening World Series games decided by 5 or more runs.

Michigan plays UCLA tonight. Betsa threw last night.
 

Sounds like Betsa gets the ball again tonight for the Wolverines against the Bruins.

Michigan was down 3-0 after one inning. Betsa chased from the circle, not getting out of the first inning. Wagner with 6.1 innings of solid relief. Michigan came back to defeat UCLA 10-4. The Bruins went so far as to pull their starter and then return her to the rubber shortly after in the loss. Wolverine coach dangerously close to being ejected on a questionable call in the rocky first inning.
 

Four teams remaining in the World Series. Michigan, with no losses, takes on once beaten LSU. Undefeated Florida will play Auburn. Auburn sitting with one loss.
Only top four seed missing is #2 Oregon, which lost two straight.

Auburn and UCLA hooked up in a 10 inning game last night. Wondering if the Tigers will have anything left in the tank for the Gators. Game took over 4 hours and Auburn has to beat Florida twice to advance.

Florida takes the first game 3-2. Player of the Year Haeger, with 3 RBI's. Betsa chased from the circle in the third inning.
 


Michigan beat Florida 1-0 to even the series up. Haylie Wagner went the distance. Wolverines scored the lone run in the first inning.


Michigan comes up short in the winner take all game. Good showing by the Wolverines.
