per the Pioneer Press:
Gophers football coach Jerry Kill has said the program's first New Year's Day bowl appearance in 53 years will aid in recruiting high school players.
But any possible gains won't be realized until next year, two recruiting analysts told the Pioneer Press.
And fans' hope for immediate gains were further tempered Thursday when three-star recruit John Kelly, a 5-foot-10, 175-pound running back and defensive back from Oak Park, Mich., picked Tennessee over his other finalists: Minnesota, Michigan and Michigan State.
