Rochester Post Bulleting: End almost near for football-dreaming Fruechtes

The end of Isaac Fruechte's college football career is nearing.

So too — more than likely — are his playing days, period.

Isaac claims no surprise at this season's results. But he does admit to elation over what's in front of him and his team.

"This was our goal, to win a Big Ten championship," Isaac said. "This is not surprising to us that we have that chance now. But I'm very excited about the opportunity we have on Saturday. This is the most important game of our lives."

I was looking over the rosters for teams in the Indoor Football League and for the local semi-pro teams. It looks like their rosters are made up of players who either played in small colleges or didn't play in college at all. I would be a whole lot more interested in minor league football if there were Gopher players om the rosters. I understand it might not be worth their time, but if a player wanted to get in some more football...
