All Things Peter Mortell Tweets Thread - This Guy Is Hilarious

Not that funny, but fortunately those days were already gone when that was built.

Well I got a chuckle out of it and I'm sure the new facilities we are about to get won't have that issue for sure.

per FSN:

The stats indicate that Minnesota's Peter Mortell was the best punter in the Big Ten last season.

The retweets and favorites show that he might have been the funniest, too.

When Mortell isn't busy leading the Big Ten in punting -- he averaged 45.1 yards per punt in 2014, tops in the conference -- he's quick to crack a joke or make people laugh on Twitter. Mortell, who will be a redshirt senior this fall, is arguably the Gophers' funniest tweeter. His account (@PMortell37) has nearly 4,000 followers, and he's also partially responsible for another account run by Minnesota's specialists (@MinnSpecialists).

As good as Mortell is at tweeting, though, he'd rather be known as one of the best punters in college football.

"I love making jokes on Twitter. I think people know that I have a pretty good sense of humor," Mortell said. "But at the same time, I want people to understand that when I come on the football field that I'm fully business and I know how to switch that attitude pretty quick."

Not only is Mortell a great punter and funny as all get out, he is a great young man.

Per The Bleacher Report:

Probably the favorite player to see on the field for any opposing fan is the punter. But Minnesota's Peter Mortell is likable for more than just his possession-changing appearances on the football field.

Mortell has donated so much of his spare time to MAGIC (Maroon and Gold Impacting the Community, the community service program of Minnesota athletics) that his picture appears on the side of the program's bus.

Mortell even used his Best Buy gift card he received from the Citrus Bowl to purchase toys for kids at St. Joseph's Home for Children.

Clearly, this Gopher isn't only likable but also commendable in a way few college students are.

Best one yet.

I think the B!G should get behind that nomination and GOTV effort for dear old Pete.

He definitely is the best FG holder I have ever seen. And since they don't have an individual award for that, it would be a shame if he didn't win the Heisman trophy as some sort of consolation prize.

Maybe after this year, they will announce an award named after him for the best FG holder in NCAA.

I'd sign the petition!

There are WAY to many to embed, but Mortell has control of Gopher Football's Twitter and is answering questions. Too hilarious:
