GopherSports: Gopher Football Banquet Set for Nov. 30

The Golden Gophers will celebrate the 2014 season at their annual banquet on Sunday, Nov. 30. Hosted with the Goal Line Club, the event will be held at the Hilton Minneapolis.

The Minnesota football program will review the regular season and present team awards before moving on to a bowl game. Past captains will be invited to participate in the traditional passing of the torch.

Social hour will begin at 10:30 a.m. Lunch will be served at noon with the banquet program starting at 12:45.

Has anyone gone to this? Is it awkward for Joe-Public to go?

Sounds like kind of a weird thing to go to unless you are personally connected to someone on the team.
