I was watching a replay of the Purdue game on BTN2GO last night.

It is quite impressive to see how many fans actually milled around in the stands after the game.

Normally, you see people heading out before the end of the game.
 

I noticed that too. Makes for such a good atmosphere when the fans stay after the game.
 

Outstanding to hear. Let's go ahead and call that yet another "brick" in the building process. Go, Gophers!
 

I don't know about others, but I think everyone needed a few moments after the game to kind of catch our breath. That was an emotional game with intense atmosphere and I know I wanted to just exhale a little bit before leaving.

I don't usually head toward Dinkytown after games, but I did about an hour after the game on Saturday, and there were a lot of (inebriated) students out and about. It was the first time I can remember feeling like students were really latching on to this college football-on-campus thing. It just felt right.

It also made me dream of what campus could be like if the Gophers are still undefeated after the Iowa game.

No kidding and this time nobody should be surprised about the win either.

Noticed this as well while I was there. Very cool. Though I do agree that it was a collective catch your breath moment for many.
 

I felt like the whole game day experience had a different vibe on Saturday. College football (and the Gophers) felt relevant and important. It wasn't just a charged-up "we're only here because we hate a rival" crowd, but one that was stoked about the current state of the program.
 




The best part was the student section. That was the fullest student section I have seen in years outside of a wisconsin or iowa game. They came on time and stayed until the very end. AND were making noise til the very end! Hopefully that will continue
