Honorable Mention

First time in my life, becoming "bowl eligible" wasn't that big of a deal, and was a minor "note" in the post-game narrative.

*Needs double-checking

First back to run for 1000 yards after only 7 games into the season since........

First time we beat Michigan and tOSU in the same season since 1940. Oh sorry, going to have to wait a few more weeks for that one.

When's the last time the Gophers won 7 of 9 big ten games? 60s?

One thing that is changing is the "watchableness" of the games themselves.

Early in Coach's tenure I think we played Michigan at the Big House. In the Tuesday presser after the game he noted that one of the daughters came up from college (in Kentucky I think) and Dad asked her about the game. Her answer was "Hard to watch." Dad agreed.

I think if she was asked again she'd say "Fun to watch."

Yes, the times are changing.

Go Gophers! Beat the Illini!
