Line Spacing

The past couple of years, hasn't the staff discussed that one of the benefits of a more mature line, and installation of their offensive scheme was ability and desire to have greater spacing between the linemen?

Watching the game last night, it appeared to my untrained eyes that the line was really, really close together.

I have no idea of what to make of this, but it looked more "compacted" for lack of a better term.

Thoughts?
