Yeah, they actually switch from the practice helmets (2 year's ago game helmets) to the game helmets each week.
 




8-28-14 6:00 PM can't come soon enough. I don't know how many more uniform color and weather threads I can take. We're focused on the wrong things here. We should be talking about important things like tailgating and stadium beer matters.

BEER CANS COLORED IN MAROON OVER GOLD ARE THE ONLY ACCEPTABLE BEER CAN COMBINATIONS FOR HOME FOOTBALL GAMES. :cool:
 


Gopher Equipment tweeted it is "highly doubtful" we will see all gold.

Athletic department standardized in the Brewster era so that all sports are branded the same. I think it coincided with the move to Nike hockey jerseys? I might be wrong on the time period, but it was within the last 10 years.
 

Lucas told me that the team is coming out with a wind-swept approach tomorrow. Somewhat of a studded look. This was corroborated by Schmitty.
 

Wise idea or foolish, the U of M has billed this game as a "Gold Out". It'd be insane to not wear the gold jerseys (although I believe they actually did that once). Combine them with the new gold helmets and either the maroon or white pants.

I have to believe at least one part of the uniform has to be gold for a "gold out" game. Would make a lot of sense to break out the new helmets if they are ready to go since they have let the cat out of the bag about having them.

I don't like the Minnesota on the back of the gold jerseys. Show me the names of the players please. Other than that I like the combo.
 






Notice the tweet said 'yellow' tops?

The gold jerseys are just plain ugly. Minnesota on the back and the ugly colllar. Very poor taste.

Why use ugly combos when you have nice ones?

I would never suggest that jersey style to any of the customers I design uniforms for.
