"Richard Pitino, Minnesota's second-year coach, celebrated an NIT postseason title in April with his father, Louisville coach Rick Pitino. On Nov. 14, the coaches' teams meet at at a Coast Guard base in Puerto Rico in a game that will be televised by ESPN.
The NIT Season Tip-Off starts the following week, with Minnesota hosting a game on Nov. 17 or Nov. 18. Semifinals and the final are Nov. 26 and Nov. 28 at Madison Square Garden.
