He made the tackle on the opening kickoff. Made at least three catches as wide/slot receiver. He blocked one defender right off the field. He was still playing in 4th qtr so he got a good look.

MarQueis looking good

Officially had 2 catches for 51 yards. Also had another one for 4 yards but was waived off due to a penalty. Started at FB and played 3rd string TE as well. He did have a nice block where he drove a defender all the way to the sideline. The commentators said that he has played in camp and will be a valuable weapon the the Browns this season.
 


That makes me happy. I always thought MarQueis was one of the classier individuals on the Gopher team. I hope he continues to do well.

Love it. He had 2 catches for 15 yards Saturday. In 3 preseason games he has 6 catches for 95 yards.

He was cut. Fumble problems and Ray Agnew playing his way into the mix at fullback at Gray's expense as an H-back were cited as reasons by SI.
 

That really sucks. Very good chance he gets picked up by another team after what he showed he is capable of. I wonder he he ends up with Norv and the Vikings.
 

I have always respected Q in light of how he never bad mouthed the U after all the turmoil the team went through while he was here. I am saddened by him getting cut, but I think he will get picked up by another team. However, he always did have problems with fumbling.

Doesn't surprise me, since Norv Turner was the OC at Cleveland last year.

Doubt it but it would be funny if Marqueis Gay became the Vikings starting QB later this year....

Maybe this is why they didn't keep Allen Reisner... which puzzled me I thought he had a good camp, but LOVE this signing!!!!! Q can be here to help recruit players on their official visits.

Pretty cool, great Gopher Ambassador. Hopefully he finds his niche here. He seems to be a jack of all trades but master of none.

Agreed, really hope he can actually get on the field. Having both him and Sherels on the team makes the Vikings even more fun to cheer for.
 

So, the Vikings cut an Iowa TE and replaced him with a Gopher TE....love it!
 



Best news of the day!! He already has a house in Eagan and he can play with his old OC in Norv and in his old college stadium. I can also watch him every single game with the Vikings! Could not have been a better fit.
