Do college coaches avoid "headaches" in recruiting?

They do, how they balance it varies from coach to coach.

That was one of the things people have against Brewster - sure he got highly rated players, but many of them either never made it here or didn't last long. Many of those guys had red flags and that's why other teams weren't as interested as maybe they "should" have been in a 4*/5* player...

Guilty of laziness. I found the first article regarding Noel Devine and ran with it. Others who follow recruiting may remember there were many red flags surrounding his recruitment. IIRC Many schools started to back away because they thought his recruitment had become too much of a circus, and began to question his academics,etc.

I choose him because he was about as close to can't miss as one can get.
