Long before Caleb Bak tried his hand at protecting Gophers quarterbacks from opposing defenses, he was a self-proclaimed nerd.

The former offensive lineman developed a passion for fiddling with computers from a young age, and after a blow to his head knocked him out of college football, his time for technology freed.

“It’s hard for me not to sit down at a computer and tinker with it a little bit,” Bak said.

Go Gophers!!

I really wish we had Caleb for one more season. He was the ultimate walk-on in that he worked hard, paid his dues, and ended up being a starter in the B1G. I don't know Caleb but met his parents one time and was really impressed how humble but proud they were about their son's football accomplishments.

Good luck Caleb and thanks for being a Golden Gopher!

Ski-U-Mah and Go Gophers!

Nice article! With the dearth IT people due to the looming retirement of many baby boomers, not to mention I.D. theft issues, it is nice to see Mr. Bak positioned to succeed.
