Shooter: Dick Jonckowski is undergoing chemotherapy for lymphoma

Wishing the best for Dick Jonckowski, the Gophers men's basketball and baseball public address voice and popular speaker who is at Abbott Northwestern Hospital undergoing chemotherapy for lymphoma. Jonckowski, 70, said the form of the disease he has is curable and that he hopes to attend Tuesday evening's All-Star Game.

Have known him for years and spoken to him on several occasions (most recently at my father's funeral). A truly hilarious and big-hearted human being. Prayers go out to you Dick. Gotta love the Polish Eagle!

He's the best. His voice is a staple in the barn and I love the way he compliments the game. He is the voice of the Gophers bball team. Nothing is better than when we hit a big run and he's roaring a players name after a bucket. We're lucky to have him. Best of luck to him as he battles this.
