HOW THE H$LL DOES RUTGERS GET 2 HOME PRIME TIME GAMES? OH WAIT THEY WANT TO GET INTO THAT MARKET SO WHO CARES ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE???

They want Rutgers in those night games against the Big Ten helmet schools to try to generate big ratings in New York and the rst of the tri-state area.

Its understandable, yes it stinks but if by them doing this makes the B1G 500 million to a billion in our next TV deal because it shows a huge interest in that area than it is a Major Win to all schools in the B1G. That is just eve more money per year to our school, which means upgrades to facilities and other improvements. If Minnesota does well and were undefeated, we will have ESPN Games and ABC Games.

Rutgers is out east. When espn became the Yankees/Red Sox network, I quit tuning into ball games on their network.

I fear the same thing happening to BTN.

Since whe has college FB been ever about something but money? I have no issue with this. Wanna be on prime time? Beat some quality opponents. We as much as anyone need the cash.

I just saw the list of games and can honestly say, just as a pure football fan, exactly ZERO of those games excite me

Agreed. 100%. Now we can see how abysmal Rutgers Football can be, in primetime, no less.

Mn probably requested that they have day games to clean up in case of Vikings game the next day. I reached a point where I like the 11am games.

I love 11am games. Tailgating/drinking at 8am - back home by 4pm to watch other games and enjoy Saturday evening. To me, college football is 11am games.

The Nebraska vs. Northwestern game is the only exception for me. Thought they had played two great games but just looked it up. They've played three great games: NW won 28-25 in 2011 and then NE won 29-28 and 27-24 in '12 and '13.

Love to see that game.

Were it last year, I'd agree with you. But w/ NW hoping Mark is healthy to make their O go and NE breaking in a new QB, it really doesn't excite me at this point. If the teams look dramatically better this fall then it will probably change my mind

Who did Rutgers beat last year? Their best win was either a 3-win Arkansas team or SMU, who won 5 games. They. Have multiple night games, as does Illinois, who was 1-7 in the Big.

Illinois got games because of their opponent in those games. The B1G is showcasing Rutgers/Maryland and using the big time teams to do so. What's the problem with that? What the poster you are responding to is if you win games the B1G will use your school to showcase other teams. OSU, PSU, Michigan get primers games. They need an opponent. Rutgers/Illinois benefit from that. Is it really tough to understand?

I was at Ryan Field in 2012 for that heartbreaker. NU squandered many chances to win but it was a great game otherwise. The Nebraska OL was mammoth and looked like they would steamroller the Cats but some big plays by NU made this a classic. Looking forward to the re-match.

One night game for sure, the opener. Possibly the TCU game as well. Depending on our success and the opponent, we could play more at 2:30. I doubt the BIG cares about the Vikings schedule and the time to turn the stadium over.

From what I can tell, the only weekend that the U and Vikes will share the stadium is Oct. 11-12, when NW is here on Sat. and Detroit is here Sunday at noon.

I also like the earlier games.. get home earlier...

So now that the Big Ten has added 2 more teams does that mean we will have fewer games on TV? or are they adding channels?
