Mentions at the end of the article that sources say he is looking to transfer closer to family in Georgia.

Minnesota is closest to Georgia than Kentucky is right?

How much eligibility does he have? How serious is his leg injury currently?

“@GoodmanESPN: Here’s a good 5th-year transfer to add to market: IUPUI’s Ian Chiles told ESPN he will leave. Averaged 15.8 ppg last season. Eligible ASAP.”

Could be a rough year for Tubby next season.

Ouch. Now losing 4 of top 5 scorers from a 14-18 team.

Good news is, with a 10 team conference and TCU in there, at least he can count on 9th place ... which is probably better than he would've been finishing in the 14 team B1G anytime soon.

Yeah, transfers are big reason he is gone. He let too much talent walk out the door.

Justin Cobbs
Devoe Joseph
Royce White
Paul Carter
Colton Iverson

Now that's a tourny team that could go on a run. Paul Carter's transfer wasn't Tubby's fault, but the other 4 are.

Devoe Joseph I believe was suspended on two separate occasions the season he transferred, so maybe something was up there. Doesn't seem right to put that one 100% on Tubby, I'm guessing Devoe was part of the problem as well. Don't see how the Royce White fiasco is Tubby's fault either, unless you're one of the few who think we should never have recruited him. And I thought Justin Cobbs just wanted to be closer to home.

Probably best to worry about things closer to home. Our returning players, plus the 65th class in the nation won't move us too far up the food chain. Losing our 4 best players prior to 2015/16 will be very hard to replace. I'm not at all sure who is in the more difficult spot here.

Lets try and keep this about "All Things NCAA Transfers and NBA declaration" instead of another pitino vs tubby fight. Please and thank you

Yep. Weird decision by Rich Pit to stop recruiting for this year.

Sophomore point guard Tyler Lewis is transferring from NC State for his final two seasons of eligibility. Averaged about 4.5 ppg and 4.0 apg this season.
-started both NCAA Tournament games and averaged 7.5 ppg and 7.0 apg in those two games.

IMO, this would be better worth looking into than Kevin Ware. A 3rd guard in our rotation who would see heavy minutes.

“@EvanDaniels: Virginia Tech has given TJ Lang a release from his Letter of Intent, per a source. 2014 recruit.”

How good is he? We should let Richard know if we think he should go after him.:p I thought VT had a decent recruiting class this year, though.

These transfers are alarming. Might as well make players have 1-2 year commitments and then have free agency per se. I was watching Bo Ryan's press conference last night on the B1G network and he commented on the Graduate transfer rule. He is against it. Mocking how players pick the school first, then find the academic track they want, and they are good to go. "When is the NCAA going to share the % of these kids that actually have a masters degree?"

He should talk to his AD about that.

Russell Wilson pretty much made this trend popular.

If we're going to cherry pick transfers, Carlino would be a good guy to get.

Not really sure I'd want to get grad transfer at the PG position, its not what we need next year, Both dre's can play the PG position and we got Mason coming in. Not sure if grad transfer PG would even want to play here considering what we have, if we're gonna go after a grad transfer, needs to be a PF or possibly a wing to fill in for Austin. If you want a PG and/or C position, it would have to be a guy that will play beyond next year, since those positions are solid for us going into next year.

Maybe we are onto something with this "going small" lineup. It worked last night, I say cut ties with Josh Martin and bring in even more guards. Next year we can run some all guard lineups, with Oto and his new prosthetic knee being the only exception.
