Anas Osama Mahmoud Commits to Louisville

This is my favorite.....

wonder who sent him that

on a side note, why is he visiting on the 19th and 20th?!?!? its snowing on the 20th, he needs to be here on the 18th and 19th, the weather sets up nicely for that!

But I guess that means he will be at the Duke at Georgia tech game, lets hope no upsets happen and they get destroyed!

Mahmoud arrived at Atlanta around 12am on the 16th, which is why some say the 15th. He'll spend 48 hours there and then visit Minnesota the 18th and 19th and arrives back in Orlando in the wee hours of the 20th.

Also interesting that Mohmoud's sponsor apparently has ties to Louisville (and Rick). That is very good for us. Hopefully Rick can push the sponsor our way and tell Donovan to bow out. Then we may have a shot.

From the sounds of it, I think Donovan has already bowed out, I was looking through the florida boards, and they all seem to believe that florida is not interested in him at this point, which is weird since he was reportedly offered not too long ago, may come down to us and Gtech

Anybody know how the GT Duke game went? How was the atmosphere?

GT is going to get smoked tonight. I would have picked a different game to bring him in.

7-foot-1 Egyptian basketball player gains life-changing opportunity at West Oaks
Point guard Sidy Ndir, who has lived in Senegal and France, also lives in the house and did ask about the turmoil in Egypt.
"He said to me, he's lucky he's here because he could be dead," Ndir said. "We are like family, everybody, because of basketball."

There are some articles on him linked at the bottom of the page.

I am not worried about GA Tech, too bad for them it will be 40 degrees when he visits

I dont think the weather on the day he visits is going to sway him one way or another, or at least I hope it doesn't. If the kid does his research, he knows Minnesota gets F'n cold during the winter, and I hope no one shys away from admitting that. But the key is that being an Athlete at the UofM he can be sheltered from that cold via our bus system, network of tunnels to and from class and the fact that the majority of his time will be in our practice closet during the winter.

"We need to be pointing out that Richard is gone as soon as a bigger opening comes along. He's a little midget by the way. I was stuck in security in the middle of the basketball team when they were going to Maui and I thought he was a team manager until I figured out why this kid had a Louisville suit bag."

LOL. I'll admit Richard looks more like a student manager than a head basketball coach, but I'd say that's a good thing we have a guy so young that's already shown he can coach.

When they start young they end up looking a little awkward until they get their road junk food gut....

Go Blue Devils. I think I hate myself now.

Watching this game, a few empty seats... Not a good start for gt.... Not much atmosphere compared to the barn from the tv...

So far, so good. Duke up 19 in the first half. Hopefully the building will be empty midway through the second half. One of the only times I'll ever cheer for Duke.

wow Gtech is bad, remember when this game was actually an event to watch? That team has never rebounded from losing favors(no pun intended), sad what happened to that program, wonder what happened for them to drop off like that
