Sounds like this is THE kid to watch in the spring recruiting period.

DuJuan Piper, one of the best unsigned seniors, had a strong showing at the Hoop Hall Classic this past weekend. Follow Seattle (Wash.) Rainier Beach's game, Piper said he's down to three schools.

Where did you hear they are the favorite? That article doesn't say that. If anything it seems like Romar is doing a ****ty job recruiting the local Seattle talent. I also think he could be on the hot seat in the near future.

Also, GH should request an interview with Piper and the first question should be, "How do you spell your first name?" There is no consensus on the interwebz.

Nothing official. I read it in a couple places yesterday. I think 247 has Washington listed as the favorite (Warmer) but that might be subjective based on where the "experts" are picking. A couple West Coast sites had Washington as his favorite. Certainly, nothing has been determined yet.

Since his own Twitter account has it spelled Djuan, I would guess the correct spelling is Djuan.

Dpodoll, you, of all people, should know that you can't trust anything you read on Twitter!!! :)

Matt Gravett posted a 247 article and asked why Washington was the leader… Generally spoke to Washington's proximity and the classes they're bringing in. He said he's not sure what it'd take to get on Washington's level.

I'm going with 247 on this one that UW is the favorite right now.

Djuan Anthony Piper - Unless you think he spelt his name wrong on his twitter account...

____

I didn't see dp posted this too. Mystory over.

Hoping oregon destroys them on their home court, so he can compare last nights gopher's game to tonights huskies game

I've seen Piper RT quite a few things about the Gophers, and UW. Nothing about Zaga.

zaga really isn't even in the picture, even he came out and said that washington and gophers were the front runners

Do we know he watched our game last night? Hope he did.

It is absurdly easy to watch just about any game online, for free. I have no doubt that these kids are tech-savvy enough to track down a stream.

Correct I know how to stream anything I want for free, including ppv events. I do not do this though as I can afford any of these things without worry. A teenager probably has less reservations. I wouldn't be surprised if they pirate all their movies, music, and premium tv shows like Game of Thrones for free.

There's a BTN2Go app for free on iPhone, iPad, or android. No need to pirate it when you can get the game live for free firsthand...

You have to have a participating tv provider to watch games on BTN2Go. The app is free but you can't watch the streams for free.

Huskies will be tough to beat for Djuan. He "tweeted," several times from the UW over Oregon last night. He attended with his teammate Crisp who has committed there.

Sounds like this guy is going to UW unless we blow him away on his visit.

Would be interesting though if the Barn is rocking at the Indiana game and Piper is sitting down the aisle from Rick Pitino.

January 2, 2014 at 6:15 PM (UW offers three Rainier Beach players )
"Piper was, well, a bit surprised.

“I had never talked to Coach Romar in my life,” he said. “I was surprised, but happy. Excited at the same time.”

Piper, a 6-foot-6, 180-pound forward, also has offers from Minnesota, Gonzaga, USC, Washington State, Richmond and Illinois State. The UW offer stands out to him because it’s his hometown team and one he’s thought about playing for growing up.
