Ra'Shede Hageman NFL Draft Updates, Projections, Analysis & More

Just saw on the recap that Seantrel Henderson is there this week. Glad both guys doing well and representing MN football.

Yep, it sounds like he is making some dollars. I imagine he will shine at the combine too.

I'm assuming J Huff = Josh Huff, the former one time minnesota running back recruit who ended up signing with Oregon in 2010.

It is Josh who is a decent WR prospect, not a CB as McShay states

Yes he played WR in college, but due to size may very well be a CB prospect in the NFL. I don't know that for fact, but always thought that when watching him play at OR.

There was a decent player on Sunday night who played in the PAC-10 that made a successful move from WR to CB.

My guess is a lot of scouts are changing their underwear after each drill in which Hageman participates. If he does well in the interviews, he could move up into the first half of the first round. I still think he's somewhere in the second half of the first round, but athleticism like his just doesn't come around that often. If he shows he has a strong enough motor (and I think that's going to be the question on him), he's going to be something.

You're all buffoons. The guy on this board who says Hageman is a third rounder at best has it right.

Me too. And I can't believe he lumped Hageman in with Henderson with "issues." Hageman is nowhere near the problem child as him.

I hate you for making me agree with lakesgopher...but I will take that bet and give you odds. That buffoon you see is a mirror.

I think Breakin' The Plane was being sarcastic and referencing someone who I remember posting that Hageman was no better than a 3rd rounder.

i think he slides into the top 10 with an impressive senior bowl, combine and pro day. He already is a projected mid round pick by a lot of people. i doubt he slips past the steelers/bears/Cowboys at 14-17

Agreed. I remember after we beat SJSU this season, that someone argued with me that Fales would be a 1st round pick and was serious. I don't remember who it was, but some people just have no idea what they're talking about.

Fales was a projected first round pick at the beginning of the season

I don't believe by issues he was necessarily referring to off the field issues. I would guess that consistent productivity will be the one black mark against Hageman that could keep him lower on some teams' boards. I do think he'll end up in the first round though. Way too much of a physical speciman and has too many highlight reel plays for many teams to pass on him.

I think the "issue" comment referred more to Hagemen's small tendency to disappear on the field at times and being a 5th year redshirt senior who is still raw at the position.

Or it could have been his suspension at the end of his RS Freshman year for not going to class.

This is great news & but not unexpected. I thought the general consensus was that his combine numbers would likely move him from a 2nd rounder to a late 1st rounder or from a late 1st to a mid 1st. The book on Shede has always been unlimited physical skills/potential, with the knocks being he's not an every down player & that he disappears against top competition. With a strong showing in the actual game he could be that guy who's stock just skyockets right before the draft, top-10 here we come!!
