FWIW - his mother is the former Mary Jo Miller, who was Ms. Basketball in MN playing for Tracy-Milroy in the 1980's. (she was also a VB star). His Dad Chris is the AD at SW Mn State University, and was a minor-league pitcher.

Weber said " Honestly, if I didn't have other visits being set up, I would already sign with Minnesota. We'll see what happens."He still plans on visiting Kansas and Cincy. Also says the gophers are his clear front runner. Gaelin Elmore was his host.

Calhoun also enjoyed his visit and enjoyed what his staff told him, but wants to use all of his official visits before committing, citing that he wants to make sure he gets it right. Considered a strong Gopher lean at this point. Jonathan Celestin was his host.

Not sure if this was brought up already, but JUCO DT Walvenski Aime decommitted from Miami(They are losing everyone). Gophers back in the mix

well they still have 21 commits. Cant say I wouldnt mind them going away so we can assume our rightful place as the true U

Why do you say they're losing everyone? I just googled Miami Hurricanes football and saw an article posted six hours ago suggesting Golden is doing a decent job? I didn't see anything about recruits jumping ship. Please elaborate.

Miami had 14 players de-commit last year and have had 8 so far this recruiting class although 247 ranks their class 4th in the nation right now so i'm sure they will be okay.

This is old info. The West is a close race right now. Rivals has Iowa at 25, Wisc. 26, Northwestern at 29, Nebraska at 33, and Minn at 35. 247 has Nebraska at 25, Iowa 26, UW 27, Gophers at 29 and the Nerds at 31. Scout: Nebr 26, W 27, MN 28, NW 31, IA 33
 

The big problem with the rankings is they are rated by using both quality and quantity Example is comparing Iowa and Minnesota. We have 11
and they have 16. Ours are higher ranked players but due to the fact they have more they are ranked a few places above us. That why this early in the years is really not very telling.

he hasn't visited Minnesota, but again, he said, he'll be up on an official visit this fall. so if Minnesota wants him, who knows? maybe they take his commitment.

For those who bring up the twins, just know that the staff is operating as if they have not committed and will do so until they visit for the BBQ in July, and are said to move on altogether if the twins visit other schools
 




Albert O. will be at the BBQ in July, and it will be his 3rd trip to the U. Has offers from Michigan St., Missouri, Iowa, and others. Would be a great get at TE.

Well, the starter on varsity was pretty good... and the JV guy was 10 and 0 .... and it could all be window dressing
to demonstrate to the team you gotta work hard and pay your dues to earn your spot. Check back around game 3...
if he's not playing then...that'll be a problem.
