Athletic director Pat Chun says Carl Pelini and Pete Rekstis admitting "illegal drug use" to him. Pelini apologizes for "poor judgment" and offered his resignation after being confronted by Chun. "No other football staff or student-athletes were involved," says Chun, adding that all other coaches will remain on staff. The two coaches were escorted away by police, but not arrested, and won't be able to address the team's players.

No joke the news is starting to blow up but so far it's a repeat of the above story. Apparently all the news is based on the University's press release. Things should be interesting by tomorrow morning.
 

What a chucklehead! I don't advocate use of marijuana, but if he were doing it in the privacy of his own home, I don't know if this would be a big deal. Kind of like when Gary Moeller got bounced from Michigan for being drunk in public.
 



Maybe Bo was toking, too? He was remarkably laid back when the refs waved off that flag for the late hit out of bounds on Martinez. And our guy pretty much dogpiled him right by the Gatorade cooler

I think Bo should be on Quaaludes. I was very surprised that Bo didn't go into orbit during the latter parts of the game. Anyone hear any post-game comments?

WPTV: Carl Pelini: affidavits claim FAU head coach Carl Pelini used marijuana and cocaine

Court documents given to us by Florida Atlantic University allege former football head coach Carl Pelini used marijuana two weeks ago.

In a signed affidavit, a special teams coach and another person say they observed Pelini smoking marijuana in Key West on October 19.

The same special teams coach went on to say in the affidavit, he observed both Pelini and former defensive coordinator Pete Rekstis use both marijuana and cocaine within the last year.

I once asked a guy who was in Narcotics Anonymous if he didn't see the irony in a bunch of guys chain smoking & drinking pot after pot of coffee while discussing how to beat chemical addiction? He answered by saying "No one ever sucked a dick for a cup of coffee". HOH can you, I mean "your friend" confirm or deny this?
