Fox Sports 1

I'm assuming you are talking about Holly Sonders, Michigan St. grad.

Engaged to Erik Kuselias who is a serial cheater. Obviously brains and beauty don't mix with Holly.

I've got a thing for brunettes, but Holly takes a backseat to Win McMurry on the golf channel.

The bigger news is that foxsports2 apparently carries aussie rules football.

I did a semester studying abroad in Australia... Aussie Rules Football is insane. It's like a combination of rugby, volleyball and american football. It's definitely worth a watch just to see the craziness sometime.

Anyone else catch the Tom Lehman photo in this thread?

im curious if anyone watches this station? it came in with so much hype. i turned it on a few times the first weekend just to see what the station was all about, but haven't even thought about turning it on since. has anyone made the switch from espn to fs1 for their highlights/analysis/sports entertainment?

I have, but mainly because I get it on my basic cable package and I don't get ESPN.

I only watch a few shows, but what I do watch, I definitely enjoy. It sounds like they have the rights to Big East Basketball, which will be sweet coming up soon here.

Go Gophers!!

FS1 is definitely less East/West Coast biased than ESPN. I wish it still had a Sportcenter type show, but the programming is more Heartland America friendly.

People are generally brainwashed when it comes to a preference to ESPN networks. ESPN is lazy, settles for the status quo, and recently has been very anti Big Ten, yet fans blindly follow.

If FS1 an do a better job of leveraging the main Fox Sports, local Fox, the FS regional networks, FSN, and the closely held Big Ten Network/ Pac 12 network, they could be very powerful. It seems like they have been pissing into the wind. The programming on the main FS! has been weak at best and needs to get better. They need to have a large number of Pac12 and Big10 games (or better yet NFL games) only on FS1 before things change.

ESPN does really suck. They way they cover the SEC/ ACC relative to the Big Ten / Pac !2 shows how off kilter they are. They ignore all activity on the B10/Pac12 that is not on their network as much as possible. They dump all the Big Ten games into that awful 11 AM time slot as possible. If that is such a good time slot then why are the Eat Coast ACC and SEC teams not playing at 10 AM? for TV reasons?

The level of production values for any Big Ten football game on ESPN or ESPN 2 at 11AM is garbage to what they put into the SEC games at get all the coverage in the 5P to 9 PM slots. There are more camera angels, better commentator, more microphones on the field and more of everything else than those awulf 11 AM games the Big Ten gets stuck with.

Too many sports networks with game rights, and nothing else to offer, collecting too much money.

Remember when Fowler blasted everyone who said ESPN is biased towards the SEC? In the past few weeks they've invited coaches on sportscenter and their radio shows like Mike & Mike. Virtually everyone has been from the SEC.

I understand why they do it because it's all about $$$$. It's just funny that some deny it is happening when it obviously is.

I watch ESPN for the games and that is just about it. Used to watch shows like Baseball Tonight NFL Primetime religiously. I just want a lot of highlights, I don't need to listen to former players overanalyze the same thing every show.

I honestly forget about FS1 most of the time.

I haven't tuned into FS1 since it launched either, but over the last few years I have watched ESPN less and less. I used to always watch ATH and PTI and even listen to ESPN radio all day, but their quality of content as eroded and they've started to venture into politics and social issues. Two things I don't need from my preferred sports outlet. All in all, I am just not drawn to the network like I used to be. I literally only turn it on if there is a sporting event I'm actively trying to watch, otherwise it's not even in my rotation of channel surfing channels. I would not be against giving FS1 another shot now that they've been on the air for a while, but I think I just prefer online forums, articles, and other website material to cable sports news and entertainment.

Maybe the Big Ten shouldn't have partnered with Fox for its own network?

If you need sports commentators to inform you then ESPN has more well known names.
If you could care less what those folks have to say and only tune in for the games FS1 is pretty equal to ESPN. Having the channel does increase the number of games available.
Now most games on FS1 may not be of interest to the average MN fan.
I usually watch the games with the mute on to avoid the drivel of the announcers so who announces the games is of no significance to me.
