All Things Class of 2015 Recruiting - Class Finally Complete? Nope Chris Obekpa visit

So, is Jarvis ever going to cut down his list like he keeps saying he will? What's the news there?

Seems to me that when a local kid keeps looking for another option than the U he finds it. If he wanted to be at the U he would have already committed. He gone, IMO.

He had a pretty good teammate at Paul IV and with Takeover in Marcus Derrickson. Top 100 and committed to Georgetown.

That line of thinking makes zero sense. He hasn't even started his senior year. So what do you have to say about every player who has committed to his hometown school after mid-August?

gophers offered this kid this weekend

I know it's not that relevant to us anymore, but Jimmy Whitt is apparently deciding between Illinois, Missouri, and Arkansas today.

Schools that stand a good chance of getting one of his five official visits?

"Minnesota, Seton Hall, St. John's, and Creighton," McBrayer said. "Right now "I'll take some unofficials and let it play out and then I'll see where I take my officials to. I've got to take it real easy because a lot of good schools are coming after me. So I want to take it as easy as I can so that I pick the right school."

How about a poll that asks when our next verbal commitment will be?
I can only click refresh on this site so many times per day.

Whitt committed to Arkansas today who had long been considered the front runner for his services.

Kenny Williams committed to VCU...he was Chris Clarke's AAU teammate. Gophers had offered Williams, although they never seemed to be firmly in the mix.

Michael is the second in-state prospect to pickup an offer from Pitino and the Golden Gophers. He's not yet ranked by 247Sports or 247Composite. Crystal Ball did shift heavily to Minnesota upon his offer yesterday afternoon and currently holds five of five predictions in the Gophers favor.

Michael Hurt is a 2016 recruit...this is the 2015 recruiting thread for future reference. Don't want to get people confused by this offer.

Recruiting Battle :: Minnesota & Creighton
We’ll just come out and say it, Alex did not have the greatest Spring/Summer season. Joining the EYBL put him front and center of a number of scouts and writers who began to pick the skilled forward from Minnesota apart. Creighton was extremely high on Alex throughout the summer but began to cool on Alex following Justin Patton’s verbal. This is not to say the Jays dropped Alex on their board, but that they felt Patton has more of what they are looking for in 2015 at that spot. Alex’s suitors, like always, still begin with Minnesota. The hometown squad has made Alex a top priority since Richard Pitino took the reigns of Gopher Nation.

Alex’s move to Brewster Academy will put him on he same squad as a number of other high major players and will pit him against just as many on a weekly basis. Is adjustment to the New England Prep scene will likely determine how his recruiting will play out.

I’ve been told that Creighton still really likes Alex. Having seen a few of his games this summer on the computer he still reminds me of a young Doug. He is skilled, quick in the post and the hardest worker on the court for positions. Alex has also become a very good outside shooter.

Is it just me or has Clarke's recruitment been kept quite under wraps? Seems like he and his "camp" rarely let on as to any favorites. Last I knew, the we stood no chance for his services. While I still highly doubt he winds up a Gopher, it's always fun to fantasize right!?!

STrib: 2015 recruit Chris Clarke narrows list, keeps Minnesota on it (8, 21, 2014)

"according HoopsIntel analyst Corey Evans.

Per Evans, the 6-6 four-star (according to Rivals) wing is now considering Iowa State, Virginia Tech, Creighton, Florida, UConn and Tennessee, along with Minnesota.
