Gophers continue to be inconsistent winning 6-1 against Omaha and then losing 10-9 in 11 innings to them, Indiana State is in for a 3 game set this weekend.

Another inconsistant weekend going 1-2 at home against Indiana State. Indiana State does have a very good Friday starter, but dropping 2 of 3 is not good. Tough week ahead as they travel to play K-State twice mid week and then have Texas at home. I would be very happy with a 3-2 record, maybe hoping for too much.

Some good news today as Alec Crawford got the start and pitched 2 hitless innings but he was on a strict pitch count and the bullpen did not finish the game very well.

What is up with Kray. He is really struggling, thought he would be a solid closer.

Update for K State series: Tues game will be televised live on FSN Plus and Wed day game will be televised on FSN. Cheer on the #Gophers!
 

Gophers split a 2 game set with Kansas State. Good to be able to watch them and see a good performance the 1st day but a kind of disappointing performance the 2nd day. It was good to see DJ Snelten throw 3 pretty good scoreless innings the 2nd game and the Gophers had a 3-0 lead but the bullpen didn't pitch real well hitting and walking about 8 guys and Kansas State came back for a 4-3 win.
 

Gophers go 1-2 against Texas on the weekend taking game 1 5-1, losing game 2 5-4 (10) and losing game 3 6-3.
 

Gophers get a mid-week win against South Dakota State in the last scheduled game for the Metrodome and open up B1G play this weekend at Michigan.

Gophers start Big Ten season off 2-1. Tom Windle is quickly emerging as a first round pick in this years MLB Draft. Just dominant so far this season!

Gophers take 2 of 3 from Ohio State and got another good but shortened performance from Windle in the Friday/Saturday win because of weather delays and a great complete game 1 hit shutout in the last game of the series from D.J. Snelten in a 1-0 win which included Tony Skjefte hitting his 1st career home run and also the 1st homer at new Siebert Field.

DJ Snelten in his 2nd start of the year today pitched a complete game shutout 1-hitter in only 86 pitches. He is a late round MLB Draft projection this year.

It seems as if the rotation would be best suited as Tom Windle, DJ Snelten, and Alec Crawford going forward.

Correct. Ben Meyer started the year pitching well, but has struggled in conference play thus far.
 

Looks like the Gophers have made a change to the pitching rotation for this weekends series and will go with Windle on Friday, Crawford on Saturday, and Snelten on Sunday.
 


Gophers go into Evanston and come out with a sweep of Northwestern, the Sunday win was Coach Anderson's 500th career big ten win.

I am also curious why they gave up on today. The field is all turf except for the mound and home plate area.

the Metrodome was not a option, as a Minnesota United FC Nasl soccer match was played there yeterday. So that would have not been available for the Gophers.

I'm sure you'll be able to buy at the gate the day of the game. Or can't you do this for a conference tournament?

Unfortunately, you will be able to get tickets at the gate and sit where ever you want. Next year will be a different story.
