All Things New BBALL Practice Facility

More sound than yours. Where is your proof of stasis? I'm not necessarily saying either viewpoint is accurate - yet you are definitively saying that the priorities have not changed. Where is your proof? We'd all love to see it.

You want proff that the basketball facility is still the top priority when there has been nothing stating otherwise?

Completely asinine, exactly what I would expect from you.

It is not always about priority. Not all, and maybe even none, of the money raised so far can be used for whatever the athletic department would like. The corporate money is ear-marked for certain projects. It may be easier to get donations, especially corporate donations, for a student Excellence Center than for a new basketball practice facility.

Please elaborate how the logic of 'hearing nothing different means that nothing is different' is less sound than 'hearing nothing different means things are different'

That would be great, if that were what I said.

What I ACTUALLY said was, if you haven't heard anything different, to assume that things are the same is fallacious. Unless you and the misogynist are in on the meetings with Teague and staff, how do you know? You don't. That is the point.

I would say both are equally unsound, however, to state one is more sound than the other is rather laughable.

It's ok, I don't expect you to understand such a difficult concept.

You want proff that the basketball facility is still the top priority when there has been nothing stating otherwise?

No, I don't want a proff to talk about it, I want you to provide proof. If you know this to be the case, it shouldn't be hard. Where's the proof? You're the one making these claims of certitude - the burden is on you to prove it.

Here's a little hint: what is released to the public and what is actually going on behind the scenes are often quite different. You don't know anything about what their actual priorities are. And neither do I. But I'm not the one claiming that I do.

Completely asinine, exactly what I would expect from you.

Say hi to Norwood for me at the next facilities planning meeting, Mr. Insider.

the burden is on you to prove it

Sorry fella. I don't need to prove anything to you or anyone else for that matter. There is no burden on me to prove that what has been reported has not changed.

If plans have not changed they remain the same.

If plans have not changed they remain the same.

You don't know whether the plans have changed. Again, that is the point. But keep thinking that you do know.

I noticed that you threw the cute little "reported" in your last reply. Adorable. You probably thought I wouldn't notice, but now you are changing your tack since your previous line of ridiculousness has been shot to hell.

You don't know whether the plans have changed

Great point genius. Hollins has not told us this week he is going to finish his senior year here, we don't know, maybe we should worry about him transferring with your logic.

Oh no, now you will say I am twisting and changing my argument by adding an example in-line with your idiot thinking.

I noticed that you threw the cute little "reported" in your last reply. Adorable.

That is what was last reported, you have something stating otherwise? That would really be 'cute too' and actually useful.

You probably thought I wouldn't notice, but now you are changing your tack since your previous line of ridiculousness has been shot to hell.

Didn't change anything, last I checked you were allowed to add to comments on this board, but not with big bad DP!

Why would I think you wouldn't notice what I wrote when I knew the only thing you have to do today is analyze every word, that appears to be your sad existence... Guess what? I don't care that much my good friend. Fire away.

That is what was last reported

Fantastic. That wasn't your original point. Keep pretending that it was.

you have something stating otherwise?

No, I don't! And I never stated otherwise! What about this is so hard to get?!?!?!?

The point (that you aren't getting, clearly) is that you don't know anything but are pretending like you do. The rest of us (your buddy Winasota excepted) aren't pretending to be big-time insiders that know so much more than everyone else. You threw in the cute little "reported" to change the argument and make it seem like that was what you were stating all along, when it clearly wasn't. "You don't care" so much that you keep responding.

Please find where I stated anything related to the practice facility. I challenged your ranking on logical statements. You of all people should be a bit more detailed in your responses.

Whats so difficult with reading my posts and responding accordingly. HOW DARE YOU MAKE AN ERROR!!!!!

From Shooter. Take it for what it's worth:

Look for the University of Minnesota this week to announce corporate donations totaling nearly $30 million as the official kickoff of the Gophers' $190 million athletics facilities improvement project.

Kind of crazy how Tubby never used that gym. It looks pretty solid for a makeshift practice facility. Hopefully we are breaking ground early next year on the new facility though.

Hard to tell how much space is actually there. Are there two full courts? Anyone know?

a small point of criticism that recruits might notice. Richard clearly wants his own gym solely for the Men's Basketball team. Why did they put volleyball lines and multiple 3 point lines on the new floor?

What I like about this one is how Richard is advertising that we are an uptempo, fast paced team.

Tubby and Joel????

Seems to me that the Tubster was holding out for something brand new rather than using something that we already have. And yes I know he was "guaranteed" a practice facitity when he got here. However it seems like he could at least of used this until one got built. Practice facilites don't get built overnight I assume.

no offense to shick, just quoting the last comment on the thread.

This conversation is quite trite. One would think by year 2 we could leave Tubby alone? I think Tubber let the team go just as much as the next guy but long ago I stopped thinking everything positive Pitino did was a negative reflection on Tubby. Am I disappointed that this room was allegedly unused for years? Absolutely, am I happy we pulled a practice facility out of our as$es seemingly overnight? Hell yes. We've even seen POSTIVE feedback from recruits on our facilities... Unheard of!

Keep it up coach P and Teague. Lets get shovels in the ground!

I'm thinking that although he's essentially turned it into his own private b-ball practice court, that volleyball still has rights to it at times. I'm just guessing on that though.
