Watched 15-year-old East Ridge QB Seth Green at a camp today. Has mad love for Jerry Kill. Has #Gophers/Louisville offers. Many more coming.

Hopefully Charlie Strong finds a new school to coach before signing day to shake things up.

A couple of years ago I sat a read how RJ3 was in no way equal to the talent of Seth Green. I watch Johnson on the ESPN broadcast and even though the night was clearly configured for Cornell and the Raiders lost, Johnson was the star of the game being compared to three of the best college football players in the nation. I just watched online as Johnson engineered one of the best fourth quarter come backs I have seen in high school football, on the road, with a smaller line and smaller, shorter receivers than Green. I think its long over due that this kid get some respect and I pray to God that the Gophers make a play for this kid because he is something special.

So how good is this kid projected to be?

He's a four star on Scout.

While looking for Seth Green on the Scout quarterback rankings for 2016, I also noticed another 4 star guy named Tre Harbison who looks like he's from about the same area of North Carolina as Jamel Harbison, and who is said to be receiving interest from some pretty legit programs like Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Kansas State, and Clemson. Anyone know if there's any relation to Jamel and if the coaching staff has maybe looked at him? There might be no connection whatsoever, just curious.

This reminds me of when I noticed Andre Hollins in the rankings right after we got a commit from Austin. Same last name and both from Memphis. Thought maybe we'd have a shot with him if they were related, but then I was told there is no relation and my hopes went down the drain. Pretty crazy that we still ended up with him.

Haha that's funny.

Scout has him at 4-stars, and one of the local guys tweeted how they thought he'd be four stars as well. The good thing is that despite that East Ridge ran the ball a ton this year, so Seth didn't really "kill it" this year. I think he might have actually been better statistically as a freshman. Also, he loses all five starters on the O-Line and two of his top three targets in Xavier Cole and George Behr this year, so I doubt he'll really put on an incredible performance next year. I've seen him play live in three games and two camps, and let me tell ya - he's the real deal. It's okay with me if he doesn't blow up the next two years.

Also, the coaching staff told Seth not to run a ton this year, but he's actually very fast. At a preseason scrimmage he was rolling out to the right and on the run and all the coaches were screaming, "get out! get out!" instead of telling him to pick up the five or six yards in front of him. In his highlight video, there's one play in particular where Seth sprints past about three guys before laying down a monster block for his running back.

His dad played for the gophers, that is good to hear and should help us, hopefully he could be a great QB once Nelson and Liedner graduate, he will be a sophomore when Leidner graduates so that could work out perfect, Nelson would be a 4 year starter, and progressively get better and after he graduates Liedner takes over with plenty of experience as a 5th year senior who can also run the ball where there should be little to none drop off in QB play and then we get this beast in when he is a sophomore, Jeff Jones would be a senior(assuming he stays, big if) and we would have a very high powered offense and dynamic QB running back duo, kind of like Russell Wilson-Monte ball with a big offensive line

BTW is he a dual threat, I assume that he has some ability but doesn't rely on it heavily

We are going to see plenty of Leidner before Nelson graduates, just the way it goes when your QBs rush so oten. I think of Nelson and Leidner as co-starters more than Nelson as our starter and Leidner as our backup.

Given up on Chris Streveler already eh???

Where I am, it would be tomorrow. Being a gopher fan in China sucks.

Hope to get back to Minnesota by the next football season. And someday see Seth Green play in Maroon and Gold.

Happy Chinese New Year everybody!!!

Our go to guy for prognosticating. (Like I've never been wrong!)

I'm just glad we are getting our next freshmen starter lined up. We will give Strevelr some starts this year. Bench him for Dimonic next year. Then have green slide in the following.

All kidding aside, if he's as talented as what people are saying I look forward to him playing as a rsSO or JR.

Nice! Any time he can spend on campus is big.
