Purdue, Indiana, Penn State, Nebraska and Michigan State have clinched spots in the B1G Tournament. Ohio State (11-11), Illinois (10-12) and the Gophers (10-12) are in contention for the final spot in the 6-team field. The only way the Gophers get in is with 2 wins vs. Illinois and 2 losses by Ohio State (@ Indiana).

Wednesday, May 23 (Columbus, Ohio)
Game 1 -- #4 Nebraska (13-9) vs. #5 Michigan State (12-10), 11:05 a.m.
Game 2 -- #3 Penn State (14-8) vs. #6 Ohio State (11-11), 2:35 p.m.

Thursday, May 24
Game 3 -- Loser of Game 1 vs. Loser of Game 2, 11:05 a.m.
Game 4 -- #2 Indiana (14-8) vs. Penn State, Nebraska or Michigan State, 2:35 p.m. (highest seed of Games 1/2 winners)
Game 5 -- #1 Purdue (17-5) vs. Nebraska, Michigan State or Ohio State, 6:05 p.m. (lowest seed of Games 1/2 winners)

Purdue, #7 in the RPI, is a lock for a NCAA at-large bid if they don't win the conference tourney. Michigan State (#48 RPI) is the B1G's only other chance for an at-large bid, but I'd highly recommend Sparty win the last 2 of their series with Penn State and have a good showing in Columbus (2 wins, ideally 1 of 'em vs. Purdue) to solidify their at-large credentials.

Gophers still have some life as Indiana beats Ohio St. 5-0 this afternoon. Gophers still face a must win tonight vs. Illinois to continue to have B1G 10 Tournament hopes. GO GOPHERS!!!

Gophers big ten tourney hopes are over, Illinois won 3-2 tonight.
