The world will little note, but Akron has hired a new football coach. Some teams, Michigan, Notre Dame and Penn State need to examine closely their non conference schedule. Akron's new head coach is Terry Bowden.
 

Decent name hire but he is taking over a mess of a program. Going to take a heck of a rebuilding job to get them back to relevance.
