Iowa 8-Man State Championship Game (81-0)

It looks like they called off the dogs, it was 37-0 after the first quarter, and 61-0 at the half. They only threw two passes in the entire game, for 28 yards and 2 TD. Their final two TD's were interception returns. You don't see many games like that in the regular season, let alone the championship game. I know it is low level football, but that has to get the attention of some college scouts.

Anyone else see that the team with 81 points had less first downs in the game than a team that didn't even score?

According to MaxPreps, the team that won averaged nearly 68 points a game this season. And teams averaged about 35.5 points per game in the entire IA 8-man class. Even with the smaller fields, there's still going to be more scoring than you would usually see. And I would think a very good player can dominate easier because there are less players on the field.

Also:
67 - 28 total offensive plays (winning team with 28)
36:44 - 11:16 Time of Possession (winning team with 11:16)
0 - 5 Interceptions (winning with 5 for 221 yards and 3 TDs)

When Georgia Tech beat Cumberland 222-0, there were no first downs in the game.
