    All Things Weakling Wednesday

Edit - looks like someone beat to the punch about a potential 3-seed. Still exciting though! Ok, this is fun....Still have potential for a 3 seed in the BTT! (Let me dream, will ya!)

What 3 "Big Ten" teams will Gophers play twice next season?

My gut says the three teams will be teams we didn't play twice this season (removing Indiana from SS's prediction. I'll go with Wisco, Wash, and Rutgers.

    Another game at the Barn?

I'd guess at that point we would end up in NIT. 18-17 (losing in finals) maybe in NCAA or 19-16 and we are in NCAA.

Doogie: I have every reason to believe Richard Pitino WILL be back as Gophers coach, there are just no signs

I have the opposite opinion. I would like to see Pitino return for one more year. But if Coyle chooses its time to move on, I'll be happy to support whoever the new coach is and the team.

    Looking back...

This is a just a typical whiny viewpoint. Sure injuries and such happen for lots of teams. Those teams usually struggle then until they have a year or so of relative health and player development. The teams that can get away with it are usually just the blue bloods. That's why the college...

    How Many Coaches

I came to the U from out of state right when Tubby was hired. So I'd fit into your younger category with just Tubby and RP. My personal belief is that RP has had some tough luck in some years and some times showing his youth as well. I'd like to see at least one more year. I think one of these...

Official Brad Davison is a Tool Thread

I haven't heard anything regarding who they would hire. I don't see why Few would take the job though. He's got it pretty good at Gonzaga.

Official Brad Davison is a Tool Thread

My uncle seems to have an in with many in the Wisconsin basketball community through his many years in high school basketball coaching/reffing. He does not think Gard will be the coach next year. I don't know who his sources are or how reliable but he has been right about these things in the past.

***ALL THINGS JALEN SUGGS THREAD*** UPDATED 9/22: Gophers Offer Scholarship

Seems like the chances he signs with the Gophs is pretty low. Would be great if he shocks us all and stays home! If not, best of luck to the young man (unless he plays against us ever)!

    Predict the Score - Minnesota @ Purdue - 1/2/20

Miss these threads from prior seasons. What does everyone think for tonight's game? My guess: Gophers 73 Boilermakers 69

    The 2020 Minnesota Class

You guys have to stop caring so much whether our recruits are born in Minnesota or not. Pitino has signed two 4-star recruits for this class. His recruiting isn't a problem. Would I like us to be better than 1-3 right now? Absolutely. But we also have so many new faces and building that...

    The Return of Josh Martin

I was checking out how Santa Clara has done this season (bad, very bad) and saw a familiar name on roster. Former Gopher, Josh Martin, is averaging 4.7ppg to go with 7 rebounds in 24 minutes per game. He'll probably come to the game with a chip on his shoulder but Murph will overpower him anyways!

How long will Coffey be out?

Pitino is "hopeful" for a return this season. I did a little search on the HAGL injury and found this, which doesn't sound great. I believe I read somewhere that Coffey would be trying to avoid surgery. "Humeral avulsion of the glenohumeral ligament (HAGL) is a lesion that has been recognized...

Davonte Fitzgerald Transfers to University of Minnesota

Per Evan Daniels, "Davonte Fitzgerald signed with Minnesota & Richard Pitino today, per a source. Transfer from Texas A&M." "Davonte Fitzgerald, who picked Minnesota over UConn, ASU, Nevada, Tulane, Richmond, & Cal, will redshirt then have two years of eligibility." Anybody know anything...
