    Ihnen and Fox?

I haven't heard much lately on Ihnen and Fox. Does anyone know if they are practicing yet? If so, when did they start full contact drills? Being able to see where they are at after the knee issues will surely impact what the coaching staff is doing for recruiting/transfers.

MN High School Basketball Sections - Can someone explain any of this?

I miss spoke on the legal entity part. Each Region is, for lack of a better term, a 'division' of the MSHSL. Each Region has an 'Audit/Review' done each year of their finances to make sure things are being handled properly.

MN High School Basketball Sections - Can someone explain any of this?

Think of the MSHSL and Sections similar to the Federal gov't and the States. The Fed (MSHSL) gets to have final authority when it wants to but routinely lets the States (Sections) decide how best they want to handle things. When push comes to shove the Fed (MSHSL) gets involved. Otherwise they...

An Oklahoma high school basketball game ended with a final score of 4-2 because one team held the ball the whole time (video)

And some of you have touched on the other issue; it just doesn't come into play all that often. It's an expense that doesn't fix a whole lot and MANY games won't be a factor at all.

An Oklahoma high school basketball game ended with a final score of 4-2 because one team held the ball the whole time (video)

I'm not totally against it and I know others will blast what I am going to say but my two biggest arguments are: 1. Money. To do this nationwide would cost close to $37,500,000 annually. 15,000 schools x 2 to account for boys and girls, x $50 per game to operate x 25 games per year. This...

An Oklahoma high school basketball game ended with a final score of 4-2 because one team held the ball the whole time (video)

One game out of 500,000 played across the country in a year does not mean we need a shot clock. If you are in favor of a shot clock there are much better arguments than this one.

    Treyton Thompson... Deceiving?

He's not deceiving anyone. He doesn't belong on a BIG 10 roster. He wants to be a stretch 4 but he is 3-24 on 3 pointers. That is 12.5%. I don't care if he thinks he's a shooter, the facts don't back it up. He also can't play the 5. It is beyond bad coaching to allow him to continue to try more 3's.

The Division I Council is recommending that the NCAA get rid of the “one-time” part of its transfer rule. Anyone would be able to transfer.

Is it possible scholarships will go away all together? If kids are getting paid through NIL, why are the schools providing scholarships at all? Make the kids pay their own way. I think it could be an either/or situation. Take the NIL and pay your own way or no NIL and we'll give you a scholarship.

Boom! Miami Player Wong will enter transfer portal if NIL isn’t increased!

My problem with NIL is not so much that the kids are getting paid but rather that what they are getting paid for, in my view, is not NIL. The reason they are getting such large deals is because of the history of the NCAA, not solely their NIL. If they went to the G League or any other league...

Here's the issue: Since 2014 there have been 17 MN-born 4-star recruits, Gophers signed 3 of them

^^^^This. I'm not one of those guys that says we must recruit in-state to be successful. I was also a fan of Pitino. Competing for the top 50 players is going up against the best of the best and we are likely to loose out on many of them and that's understandable. The 51-150 is where we need to...

Why is this not more of a concern?

Ben Johnson-De La Salle Dave Thorson-De La Salle Jamison Battle-De La Salle All three of these are coming to MN. Ben Johnson has stated his main goal is to keep MN kids home. Gabe Kulscheur-De La Salle-Played for Dave Thorson. First player to transfer out of the program. Why is this not...

Will coaches have a shorter leash?

In the past, players didn't transfer nearly as much. When a new coach came in he would lose that years seniors and maybe one or two other kids. The saying was that you couldn't judge him until he had 'all of his players' on the team. This was essentially in year 4. With the direction college...

I support BJ now, but here's why to me he was not ready to be B1G coach. I hope he does well though.

This is actually playing out right now....Rick Pitino @ Iona.

You're forgetting about new high school kids filling spots. Mashburn isn't going down a level.

Better off without getting waiver and redshirt year?

I'll admit I haven't fully thought out all of the possibilities on this, but would we be better off with Robbins and Gach not getting waivers? If there is no season (which is a possibility) we would be burning a year of eligibility if they get the waiver approved. I don't know their specific...

    What if he stays?

Of course he is. But most of the speculation on here isn't based in fact anyway. All anyone does is dream up scenarios. This is another possibility, however unlikely it may be.
