Scott Frost 'dying' for chance to coach after growing older, wiser from disappointing Nebraska tenure

I saw a car the other day in the grocery store parking lot with a license plate frame that said "Nebraska...The Frost Effect". Do they not own a screwdriver? It's been 1 1/2 years.

Spring Game Set For April 20th! (UPDATED: No Spring Game)

From an article on Wisconsin's spring schedule: Sure, it's for construction at Camp Randall. But to say that Minnesota is "only P5 team in the country with no spring game" is not totally true. I suspect they could hold a spring game at a different location if they really wanted to.

Jay Bilas: Detain them and cite them. (Video)

That may be the most practical solution. You only have 5 players on the court from the visiting team when the buzzer sounds. You assign your 5 or 10 biggest, toughest security people to be "bodyguards" for those players immediately when the game is over to get them safely off the court.

    Out of Country

Can they can set up a game in Winnipeg? Northwestern claims to the "Chicago's Big Ten Team". Maybe the Gophers can be "Canada's Big Ten Team".

Is this the end of court storming?

It’s storming the court resulted in forfeiture of a win, it would end really, really fast.

I learned something last night in the Kentucky/LSU game. Kentucky got a shot clock violation 23 seconds into the game. That confused me so I did some digging and discovered that if a team takes possession of the ball with a throw-in in the frontcourt, the shot clock only resets to 20. LSU won...

Yes. I realized after the fact that I should have added some adjectives like "a ridiculously, comical amount" before "shredded lettuce".

    Annies Parlor

I often make Big10 Subs inspired sandwiches at home for dinner. Spread a little garlic butter on the buns, add the meat and cheese and put under the broiler to toast before adding shredded lettuce, tomatoes, onions, oil, white balsamic vinegar and Italian seasoning. Yummy.

    Barnyard is back!

I feel like there is something unique about the acoustics of the barn. When a huge play is made and the crowd roars, it just seems more intense and "scary" sounding than a lot of other arenas. The closest analogy I can make is to when Tiger Woods was in his prime and you would hear "Tiger...

Shooter: Minnesota, conceptually, has considered either renovating Williams Arena or building a new arena in the parking lots north of arena

    Better Fan Experience

I guess I can't think of anything particularly annoying about my current fan experience other than the long TV breaks. I wish football would go like many of the other sports (golf, auto racing, etc.) and show commercials while the game continues to go on in a picture-in-picture format. They...

According to their web site, Oak Hills Christian College has an enrollment of 100 and a student/faculty ratio of 11:1. So they have a faculty of 9! I would guess that the payday received for getting beat up by NDSU will be the largest item on their balance sheet. So I guess that's good for...

    Duck Duck Beers Sightings

I was in Omaha a couple of weeks ago. I saw beer for sale there that indicated part of the profits would be going to Nebraska's NIL fund. I wouldn't buy a 6 pack of that if it was the greatest beer on earth. It would seem like being a traitor. Maybe they could remove the NIL tie-in from the...

    Duck Duck Beers Sightings

Bought my first 12 pack last night to try. It's definitely not a style of beer I would normally buy. But it is drinkable and I'm sure it will disappear if I put it in the cooler on Saturday. Now if we lose players to other schools who can offer bigger NIL deals, I can at least say I did my...

End of the Kirk Ferentz Era Too?

That post is what prompted my question. You are the one saying they are a physical offense. I'm asking what makes them a physical offense? There must be some traits their offense has to make you claim they are physical. What traits are those?

I'm in 246 also. It's never good news to find out your cost is going up. But honestly, I thought our seats were possibly the best deal in the stadium for many years. So I'm viewing this as more of a "correction".

End of the Kirk Ferentz Era Too?

This has been an interesting conversation to follow. I'm just curious about one thing. What make an offense "physical"? Against the Gophers there was no doubt as to which team was pushing the other team around when Iowa had the ball. Iowa is 100th out of 133 in yards per rush.
