    Gopher Volleyball 2023 Season

Right, unless Grote did a thing like "I have my Cal degree, my family can easily support me anywhere, I just want to go play one last year of college vball on a winning program and I don't care about a scholarship". Have no idea if that's a thing. Have no idea how they are going to keep all...

Are We Headed Towards 4 Conferences?

Of course  Swaim and slimy cohorts like Scheer and barely better than Flugaur, at this point.

Wow that is damning. Mandel essentially trying to force an intervention via Twitter. Seek help Bob

Bob Huggins could be in big trouble

But I mean jeez man, I hope he was "just" driving back to his hotel room. Not driving back to Morgantown.

More people in the US watched last year's Minnesota-Syracuse Pinstripe Bowl than the clinching game of the Stanley Cup

Sure, I believe you guys, when it comes to Lightning fandom. I'm talking about Tampa being a "hockey town", as if it were equivalent to MSP in that regard. No chance. No college teams in Florida. I doubt if there's much in the way of high school or youth?? It's not that important of a point...

Are We Headed Towards 4 Conferences?

I can almost taste the desperation and jadedness of Washington fans seeping out of this post. They know no Big Ten invite is coming any time soon and that the PAC isn't breaking up. The PAC doesn't "need" to do a damn thing, other than focus on keeping the 10 together over the next at least 5...

Are We Headed Towards 4 Conferences?

It was a play, and it was driven by cable systems getting BTN, as you mention. Not sure if it (Rutgers) has worked out like they were hoping. Neither has Nebraska, on the football field. Would they go Maryland Virginia, if the latter would agree to it? Probably want to stay with UNC though. I...

Are We Headed Towards 4 Conferences?

They have the most doctoral students of Cal State, but yeah they're still pretty far down in research. (Though, so is Oregon ... quite massively down from the rest of the PAC ... it's quite a shock that they're still AAU, no medical school ... they should've been kicked out when Nebraska was ...

Are We Headed Towards 4 Conferences?

Investigating adding SDSU to the PAC won't be instantaneous. It will still be a process that takes a couple weeks if not longer. If the announcement of the media deal and GoR being agreed to by all 10 PAC schools is made even say on June 27 ... that's still not enough to start going through...

Bob Huggins could be in big trouble

In Pittsburgh? I know they're close, but still like 75 miles apart.

Make no mistake. The responsible party for this team circling the drain is ..

For all intents and purposes, Craig Smith = Fleck. They are even both bald!! It's crazy to me that he didn't even get an on-campus interview. It's hard for me to believe that Ben Johnson is so crazy good at interviews that Coyle was just so blown away that he signed it right then and there...

Colorado coach Deion Sanders may need left foot amputated

Awful!! More background info: https://www.stoptheclot.org/news/deion-sanders-lost-two-toes-and-almost-his-leg-to-blood-clots/ March 10, 2022 This week, Hall of Fame cornerback and Jackson State football coach, Deion Sanders, revealed in a teaser video for his web series “Coach Prime,” that...

    Gilmore’s Composite

Gopher coaching staff watches film of potential recruits and far more importantly they see the guys they're interested in in person to evaluate. Nothing beats that. They don't log into 247 and go "OK, let's see who's on here to recruit ..."

More people in the US watched last year's Minnesota-Syracuse Pinstripe Bowl than the clinching game of the Stanley Cup

Agreed, it's too many little dots on the screen moving around and they're way too small when you zoom out to the All-22 view. TV obviously knows this, and why they've never shown the All-22 as the standard for broadcasts.

More people in the US watched last year's Minnesota-Syracuse Pinstripe Bowl than the clinching game of the Stanley Cup

I'd be quite shocked if actual overall ice hockey fandom and participation in Tampa is much better than anywhere else in Florida. Sure, it's easy to throw on a jersey and go to a bar for a good team in the playoffs, and that's the only time you ever watch them. If you tell me that it's 500%...

D-III program building one of the largest indoor practice facilities in college football

https://foundation.uwec.edu/support-your-passion/buildings-facilities/sonnentag/ As to DI: no chance. UW Board of Regents will never allow another UW to have DI football. They can go DI, but have to drop football, like Milwaukee and Green Bay. Maybe they'd allow it if Pioneer League (operates...

Sinclair(Bally's Sport) nearing a deal for NBA streaming rights for direct to consumer offering

There you go. The obvious play then is to close shop and turn out of the lights at Diamond, stringing the Twins and the two others along long enough to do that, then turn around and say "sorry, no more money, byeee!" Thank you!! 75% of what? The entire remaining year of contract value owed to...

More people in the US watched last year's Minnesota-Syracuse Pinstripe Bowl than the clinching game of the Stanley Cup

So we know right there, that Colorado adds an additional 3M household viewers! Florida might seem like a good location on paper for an NHL team. And perhaps they can fill the arena just fine (I don't know TBH). But I doubt that most Floridians, who aren't northern transplants, give a rip about...
