Nah, Talon. I read through it.
Same general concept from the Cowboy Altitude blog from 2012ish or so.
But, rather than kicking some teams out, it was just a reshuffle of teams to make it easier for travel, etc. And it's eleven conferences, since the WAC was still a thing.
I do like the idea...
Just a fun thought exercise. I can't imagine it ever actually happening (no need to tell me "this is dumb, you are dumb, it would never happen"). But, it's something I'd love to see. Because, yeah, media rights are fantastic. But, as Taji34 points out, that gov't research money is fantastic...
As someone who IS a socialist/communist SJW, as well as being a football fan (yes, there's a lot of cognitive dissonance here) - this story is pretty ridiculous so far. Even if Reigelsberger wasn't taken out of context (seems like he was), and if Norton's and Edmonds's stories are accurate...
For the half-dozen of us who care (although I really couldn't tell you WHY I care):

Interesting to see a few players make switches. Michael Carter is 23. Stoudermire is now 2. Alipate is 28.
I'll admit, I was originally in the "give them a little more money" camp to take care of other expenses.
Now? Now I'm thoroughly in the other camp.

Any of you recruiting hounds know why this kid isn't getting scholarships?
I'm assuming he'll at least get a walk-on offer somewhere. Sure, 5-11 is short for a QB. But, still . . .
Just wondering how the Gophs are set for D Tackles in 2009.
We picked up 1 last year (2 if we count Kirksey - not sure where he's at) and looking at one this year.
Maybe I'm just too much of a fan of the Williams wall, but I would think we'd want more D Tackle recruits to keep them fresh...
