    All Things Transfer Portal Thread

Don't be surprised if Gophers try to land a transfer QB with multiple years eligibility to be backup this year and compete to start next year.

    All Things Transfer Portal Thread

I'd like to see some WR depth and DB depth. Probably a QB with multiple years left to be a bridge to Drake Lindsey

P.J. Fleck and players spring conference.

Biggest thing I noticed is that Daniel Jackson mentioned Max does things no other QB has done since he's been there. When pressed on an example, he said the ability to adjust the plays at the LOS pre-snap to get the WRs and RBs in the best chance to succeed against a defense. Also noticed in...

NO SPRING GAME! Gophers start spring practice March 21; open practice for the public is April 11

Are they flat out not having one? Or are they doing what they've done in the past because of weather (indoor at Athlete's Village, covered by BTN) It's fine either way, I honestly don't think it matters, but I would love to get a preview of what we're in store for with new offensive skill players.

The band will sometimes play that tag in-between plays.

Minnesota Fight No better lyrics than: "With the old fight gang, on your marks slam-bang, hit 'em hard and hit 'em low"

What do you miss most about Gopher games at the Metrodome?

Giving it a proper farewell when we got torched 55-0 by Iowa. Good riddance. There may have been some good wins that happened at the Dome (I saw us win the axe there twice) but the venue itself did not enhance the experience.

Snarky but Fairly Accurate 2023 Recap

Good spot to be in to beat expectations, right? Will be very interesting to see how this team will be with an experienced QB and a change in DC. I don't have exact facts/figures, but when the schedule looks tough, Fleck's Gophers seem to outperform expectations. However, when the schedule...

Can't Wait to Watch Koi Perich

He doesn't need to start on D in Week 1, but dammit, put him on punt returns immediately.

Magic Wand - bring back 4 players

We need help at CB, so St Juste is not getting enough love. AWJr is a no-brainer. TJ would thrive in our current offense (as long as Brosmer is as talented as I think he will be) I should have voted JMS, that's on me. (I went with Big Dan)

    We’ve got our DC!

I saw a tweet from Ryan Burns when someone asked him last week when the Gophers would announce a DC hire and he said "probably 'around' January 8" which seems he probably already knew.

    Wenger Gone

Finally. No where to go but up in the punt return and KO return game. I liked what Chip Scoggins suggested on Pair and a Spare podcast: "Game 1, you put Koi Perich on punt return, and you let him RIP!"

Gophers QB Max Brosmer vs WI QB Tyler Van Dyke

I thought the narrative was that OC Harbaugh was limited in offensive scheme due to Athan's lack of progress/execution. This new QB seems a lot more experienced and capable of doing things like reading defense pre snap, making adjustments at the line, throwing receivers open and hitting hot...

Brosmer will practice with Gophers in Detroit

Right, if anyone on this thread actually listened to the radio interview, he checked with Paul Rovnak who gave him the OK, then he stopped and needed a second person (probably Garrett Chernoff) to clear it before he even spoke his name.
