And I am happy for PJ Fleck. He is what he is and you would be crazy to get rid of him as some on this board have advocated. Stability is a big deal in college football and it seems that there isn’t much of that going around just now.

I know you hate us, but we love you. They are singing “In Heaven There is No Beer” in Iowa City. And I would add that I would have rooted for Minnesota even if Nebraska had defeated the Hawkeyes yesterday.

As an Iowa fan and retired high school football coach, I can say that I thought Ferentz’s move was unnecessary and out of character. There are valid reasons for leaving starters in when the outcome has been settled, and that is up to the coach. I think Fleck’s response showed class.

Indiana. Odd schedule in that Indiana is the first game. Iowa State is the second. Tough start and the Hawks could easily be 0-2

They are playing ISU, but the game is in Ames, and when it is in Iowa City it is always part of the three pack. ISU will likely be in the top 5 at the time and at least top 10. Iowa will likely be top 20. It is an ABC national broadcast.
