***OFFICIAL MINNESOTA AT INDIANA IN-GAME THREAD!!!***

In my case, my association dues include the cost for Comcast, so it's "free" unless I want to add pay channels. So I'll be using cable as long as I live here unless the board someday changes the arrangement.

    Post game comments

When you're the visiting team and you're on the ropes because the home team has all of the momentum, and your defense is incapable of stopping the other team's offense, and your kicking game is a big weakness, and your running game has dominated the other team's defense and you score a TD and...

The most Minnesotan thing that could've happened....

Well, they didn't go all the way downfield, though - they kicked a FG to tie the game and send it to OT.

Bateman opting out of 2020 Football Season

I think there's little chance that a full (10 game) season will get played this year. If they start playing at all, they'll shut it down 4 or 5 games into the season when outbreaks happen. They should just cancel the season now - football is too much of a close proximity/in-your-face game and...

    Any shot at Rose Bowl?

I'd say there's a very slim chance and it would require a BIG blowout of Wisconsin next weekend. We really don't deserve the Rose Bowl at this point. I'd still love to go, but both Wisconsin and Penn State are more deserving than we are.

This was the best regular season of my life

Best regular season, yes. We need to win the Bowl game to be better than 2003 as a whole season.

The Gophers are lucky the Big Ten changed its bowl structure

The Gophers absolutely got screwed during Mason's era for bowl placement. In '99, we tied with Penn State at 5-3 and had beaten them head-to-head, but they were picked ahead of us. Purdue, at 4-4, also got picked ahead of us. In 2002, we finished ahead of the Badgers and they were picked...

    College Gameday Minneapolis

If we have a 100% guarantee that we'll win that game, then I agree. GO BOILERS!

    Selfish plays

In the last two games, the teams playing the Gophers were trying to run the clock out and ended up having breakaways for TDs. In both cases, if the player had simply gone to the ground once he had the 1st down, their team could have run the clock out and won the game. Instead, by scoring, they...

    Vacated wins

I have a site with the results of all of the Gopher games and I was just doing some reading about vacated wins - I had been under the impression that our W/L record would be 0-0 in the years affected by the academic scandal and that's how things are represented on my site. However, from what...

    Gophers vs. Wisconsin 1892

My website contains the results from every Gopher Football game and a couple of years ago I was contacted by a Badger fan who gave me a link to the following article: http://www.uwbadgers.com/blog/2011/11/it-started-innocently-enough-sundays.html According to that article, the Gophers, who had...

    Auburn/Georgia

That game was decided by pure selfishness. On 4th down, you bat the ball to the ground. Period. I get so annoyed when I see defenders 40 yards down the field intercept a ball on 4th down. Put the ego on hold for a minute and think of your team!

    Issue at Hall of Fame

I visited the Hall of Fame at TCF today for the first time in a couple of years and there was a program in the case with the following on the plaque accompanying it: This program is from Gopher Football's 50th anniversary dinner for the Little Brown Jug. Bernie Bierman, who would become a...

    No message boards in 1996?

I just saw an article on The Daily Gopher and it said: While I agree that internet access has exploded since then, twitter didn't exist and blogs were rare (I'm not sure if they had a name yet), there were message boards back then and we had a lot of lively discussion about the search to...

    Did Orseske get injured?

Since he didn't come back out later in the game after the blocked punt, I'm assume that Orseske was injured on the play. He can't possibly be blamed for the block... that guy was in there so fast that nobody could have gotten the kick off in time.
