Possibly their biggest December snowfall on record.

Damn town came to a screeching halt last night with the snow. Actually, the middle to northern part of town wasn't bad but Henderson (where I live) and southern Las Vegas got hit pretty hard. Somebody said they had like 8 inches but I find that hard to believe.

I had about 3 inches of snow at my house but you know what the problem is; when it's warmer, like that late April snow in MN, it's that WET, HEAVY crap that really does a number on things. Plus, you don't have many plows, you have people not used to it, and too many people with rear wheel drive vehicles. Bad combination.

UNLV had a home game last night and I'm kind of surprised they appeared to have a decent turnout, at least from what I saw on TV on The Mountain channel.

This is my 5th winter here and I think we've gotten snow 3 or 4 of them so it's not that unusual, but this is by far the worst I've seen. This stuff might actually be here until TOMORROW, even though it's not supposed to get back above 50 until after the weekend.

Ogee,

>>Somebody said they had like 8 inches but I find that hard to believe.<<

You're very astute. Most guys are lying when they claim that.

Nicely done, G4L. And here I thought nobody would latch onto that one....

I remember several years back my buddy and I were at the top of the Vodoo Lounge and we looked out and saw the snow coming down. It melted as it hit ,but I remember the next day we were golfing and it was 42 degrees and a 25 mph wind with gusts up to 40 mph. Can't remember the nameof the course ( it was local) but the guy in the pro shop let us play for 15.00 ea. It was funny, the only other people playing were Japanese ( two foursomes) I had a Gopher pull-over on the and the pro shop guy said: " It figures, your from Minnesota" We were on the front nine and my buddy had an uphill lie about 30 yds from the green against the wind. He tried hitting a sand wedge and a gust of wind came up as he hit and the ball almost came back and landed at his feet. I laughed my ass off. It shook him up and I went on to win the next 3 holes in our match.
I've done the dreaded double hit on a short wedge before, but I've never seen a ball almost come back over someone's head after he has absolutely nutted it...unreal
