I couldn't stand the guy when he was with the Packers. I like him even less now. The QB is the identity of a football team. Favre will always be a Packer even if the Vikings win the Super Bowl with him. To me it will almost seem like the Packers won. I was kind of looking forward to this season until the Vikings sold their soul to pick Favre up. It is just another reason why I pay very little attention to pro sports anymore.

HMMMM- I guess you don't want any mercenaries on your home grown once a Viking always a Viking squad. Would you like the squad to be all Minnesota kids? I say - Go Favre- Go Vikes!

You sure have a lot to say about something you care so little about.

He can throw off either foot, facing in any direction, and moving in any direction. I've never seen anything like it. His arm should be put in the Smithsonian when he dies.

As great as Favre has been, I can see why the Packers decided to go with Rogers. He had a junior high offensive line last night but still kept the Packers in the game. It could end up being analogous to Steve Young following Joe Montana: two great quarterbacks, back to back.

The interesting and obvious subplot of the Favre signing is the momentum that is starting to build toward a new stadium. If the season continues as it has started the legislature and T-Paw may be forced to get creative (slots, etc.). It will be interesting to see if T-Paw puts the Vikes ahead of his presidential ambition and strategy of running as a social and fiscal conservative.

Upnorth,

Your inane hatred for conservatism is running neck and neck with your obsessive hatred for Favre. Maybe you should crawl out of the cave now and then.

I would never expect TPaw to put anything especially the best interests of the people of Minnesota ahead of his personal ambition.
